Welcome to Gadsden Health & Rehab Center
The original facility, Gadsden Health & Rehab Center, Inc. was opened in December of 1963 with a total of 53 beds. The original owners sold the facility to the Lester family in April 1964. William Lester, Jr., remains the administrator of the facility, carrying on the tradition his parents begun.
Through the years the role of Skilled Nursing Facilities changed. Skilled nursing facilities expanded their role into Dementia care and rehabilitation services. Gadsden Health & Rehab Center responded to the community's needs in several ways. In September 2002 Gadsden Health & Rehab Center opened a state of the art 49 bed Rehabilitation wing to meet the needs of our surrounding community. This unit specializes in rehabilitation needs after knee, hip and joint replacement. We enjoy a wonderful relationship with the doctors in the community and are excited to offer this type service to Gadsden and the surrounding areas.
