Evelyn’s Memory Lane Café is a 1950's style diner serving comfort food in a nostalgic atmosphere. The restaurant started as an ice cream parlour and still serves premium ice cream made right on the premises.

But owners, Evelyn and Don Zabloski now offer much more than ice cream. The café is renowned for its incredible variety of fresh baking and for its many lunch specials, which change daily. On any given day you will find four or five dishes which hearken back to another era - items like shepherd’s pie, macaroni & cheese, cabbage roll casserole and chili con carne.

Then there are the sandwiches. One thing that makes them so special is the fresh, multi-grained bread baked in house. Without question, the most famous sandwich is the roast chicken, made with roasted Hutterite chickens and slathered with cranberry sauce.

Between courses you can plug a few coins in the jukebox or sit back and watch the model train that circles the restaurant. Then take a deep breath before you tuck into your banana split or multiberry pie.
