Welcome
Our practice in Hastings began in 1929. It was started by Dr. DeForest Walton and he was joined by his son, Dr. John Walton, in 1950. Dr. Bard Bloom joined the practice in 1965 after DeForest retired.
John Walton retired in 1991 when Dr. Scott Bloom joined his father and continued the practice and history of fathers and sons working side by side.
Bard Bloom retired in 2005 at which time Scott Bloom has continued in solo practice.
Contributing to the growth and continuation of the practice is our emphasis on quality care which includes dilating all patients and spending the necessary time to address the patient's problems.
Along with our practice in Hastings, we also have a branch location in Wayland that was opened in 1991.
Our practice offers patient eye exams and eye care for all ages.
Northland Optical
Northland Optical, which is Dr. Bloom's eyeglass dispensary, offers the highest quality frames and lenses and is available for filling eyeglass prescriptions, frame repair or replacement, prescription sunglasses, safety eyeglasses, and contact lenses.
