About Peninsula Veterinary Service

Welcome to Peninsula Veterinary Service, where you and your pets are part of the family! We are a team of two veterinarians, six support staff, and one office cat who take great pride in providing your pets with the most compassionate and up-to-date care possible.

Conveniently located at the intersection of Highway 42-57 and County T (Alabama Street), our hospital has been serving the Door County area for twenty-five years. We have an in-hospital laboratory with CBC machine, blood chemistry/electrolyte analyzer, and x-rays, enabling quick assessment of ill or injured pets as well as routine wellness checks. More specialized tests are picked up daily by a courier for outside laboratory testing. Our surgery is equipped with EKG, respiratory, and pulse oximetry monitors to maximize the anesthetic safety for all procedures from routine spays/neuters to more involved soft tissue and orthopedic surgeries.

Preventative health care, including regularly-scheduled physical exams, vaccinations, heartworm and tick-borne disease testing and prevention, comprise the cornerstone of wellness care to maximize your pet's quality of life and longevity. Our warm, friendly environment helps to keep your pets as happy and relaxed as possible, so that their experience is positive—and we enjoy bribing them with treats at each visit to help keep it that way.

While we normally see patients on an appointment basis, we invite you to call or stop by anytime to introduce yourself and your pets—no matter how busy appointments may be, there is always time for a dog biscuit, cat treat, or a little TLC, to get things started off on the right paw!
