At North Wake Animal Hospital we try to understand our clients' wishes and pets' needs so that we can properly meet both.

We handle everything from the simplest procedure to extensive medical work ups and surgical procedures.

We are accessible to our clients as a walk in clinic with appointments for surgeries.

We value accessibility and affordability in a friendly personal environment.

Dr. Darch, a native of Wake Forest founded the first animal hospital in the area, North Wake Animal Hospital in 1978. He was the first veterinarian to serve Northern Wake County, Franklin, Granville and Vance Counties.

Wake Forest was a small rural town of less than 3500 people reliant on agriculture with many farms including at least 15 dairy farms. Dr. Darch's days were split between serving clients in the office and out on the farms. As Wake Forest became more urban the practice changed its focus to companion animal care which continues to be the focus today.

Centrally located on South Main Street the practice serves clients from throughout the triangle area and continues to receive new patients.

The staff has grown to include three full time veterinarians and an established well-trained and experienced support staff.
