Christy Lorton, MD

Dr. Christy Lorton founded Dermatology Associates in 1991. Prior to that, she attended medical school at The Ohio State College of Medicine under the Health Professions Scholarship Program (1979-1982), and graduated with honors in surgery and medicine. After an internship at Wright Patterson AFB Medical Center, she served for three years in the Air Force as a general medical officer at Zweibrucken AFB in West Germany. Dr.Lorton completed her residency training in Dermatology at the University of Cincinnati (1986-1989), where she served as Chief Resident. She is board-certified by the American Board of Dermatology and a fellow in the American Academy of Dermatology and the Ohio State Medical Association. Dr.Lorton practices medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology and serves as president of Dermatology Associates, Inc. She has been married to Dr.Michael Lorton since 1980, and they have four children (Jessica, Alex, Holly, and Hillary).

Beth Zavell, MD

Dr. Beth Zavell has been practicing dermatology at Dermatology Associates since 1994. A native of Springfield, Ohio, Dr. Zavell graduated from Bowling Green State University, summa cum laude. She received her Doctor of Medicine degree from the Medical College of Ohio in 1990. After an internship at MCO, she completed her residency training in dermatology at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan (1991-1994), where she served as a Chief Resident. She is board-certified by the American Board of Dermatology and a fellow in the American Academy of Dermatology. Dr. Zavell enjoys practicing medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology. She is married to Dr. John Zavell, and they have three children.

Shannon Hammond, PA-C

Shannon Hammond has been working with Drs Lorton and Zavell at Dermatology Associates since 2001. She received her Master's Degree from the Medical College of Ohio, after receiving her Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition Science and Dietetics from Michigan State University. Shannon is certified by The National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, The Ohio Association of Physician Assistants and The Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants. Shannon diagnoses and treats many dermatological conditions, and performs minor procedures in the office. She lives in the area with her husband and two children.

Sherri Whitcomb, PA-C

Sherri Whitcomb has been working with Drs Lorton and Zavell at Dermatology Associates since 2003. She received her Master's Degree from the Medical College of Ohio, after receiving her Bachelor's Degree in Biology from Eastern Michigan University. Sherri is certified by The National Commission on Ceritification of Physician Assistants. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, The Ohio Association of Physician Assistants and The Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants. Sherri diagnoses and treats many dermatological conditions, as well as, performs minor procedures in the office.

Kim Ando
Licensed Aesthetician

Kim Ando has been practicing in the aesthetics field since 2002. She has amassed a diverse body of knowledge from extensive practical experience and continued studies in emerging treatments and technologies. Kim received her training from the Fremont Academy of Cosmetology. She has continued her education in advanced microdermabrasion and medical-grade chemical peels through hands-on experience working alongside plastic surgeons, dermatologists, and in comprehensive spa settings. Kim has developed and refined techniques that allow her to stay on top of the latest advances in skin care so she address the unique needs of all her clients. With an attentive disposition and commitment to providing the best care possible, Kim enjoys working with each client in order to find the best combination of treatments and products for fully achieving their skin-care goals.

Jessica Kraus
Licensed Aesthetician

Jessica Kraus has been a medical aesthetician since 2003, working and training with leading dermatologists and plastic surgeons across the country. She received her initial training at Capitol School of Aesthetics in Omaha, NE, where she is originally from. She is licensed by the States of Ohio, Pennsylvania and Nebraska to practice Aesthetics, and has advanced training in microdermabrasion, medical-grade chemical peels, and a variety of laser treatments. Jessica is dedicated to continuing her education on up-to-date technologies and trends in the medical spa industry, and is committed to providing her clients with the finest skin care treatments and products available.

Nancy Sloan
Registered Nurse, Licensed Massage Therapist

Nancy Sloan is a Registered Nurse, Licensed Massage Therapist, Amrit Yoga Instuctor and Yoga Nidra Meditation Facilitator. Trained in Swedish, Neuromuscular, Craniosacral and Lymphatic massage techniques, she is a Hospice massage educator, holistic healer, and nursing continuing education provider. With a Doctorate in Rohun Therapy, Complimentary and Preventative Mind/Body Therapies, along with her 30 year background in integrative/energy anatomy and meditation therapies, Nancy believes the body is the doorway to our greater self. Regular massage therapy is an important element in maintaining good health. The benefits are cumulative. She brings to each massage, conscious awareness and deliberate focus to promote deep relaxation, stress relief, and overall well-being to each of her clients.

Melissa Lojewski
Licensed Nail Technician

Melissa Lojewski has been in the manicuring business for over ten years, working and training at top salons in the Toledo area. She has been instructing other manicurists in the area for about eight years, and has a trusted clientele. Melissa trained at The Toledo Academy of Beauty, and has taken classes to keep up on the latest trends in nail fashion and sanitation practices. One difference in her nail enhancements is that they are not done by drill, they are all done professionally, by hand. Melissa will make polish or nail enhancements look as natural as possible and last...all while her clients are pampered and relaxed!

Suzanne Daoust
Licensed Nail Technician

Suzanne Daoust graduated from The Toledo Academy of Beauty in 2005, and has been working in the areas top spas ever since. She has received training from top educators in her field to offer her clients the most up-to-date products and looks. Suzanne will create natural-looking artificial enhancements by hand or give you a perfectly polished manicure. Although Suzanne has only been in the manicuring industry since 2005, her attention to detail, while providing a relaxing, quality service, has enabled her to build a strong clientele.
