Doctors

Dr. Paulson was born in Colfax, grew up in Rosalia, and received his undergraduate degree from Washington StateUniversity. He received his doctor of optometry degree from Pacific University College of Optometry in Forest Grove, Oregon. After completing his residency training at the State University of New York in Manhattan, Dr. Paulson returned to the Portland area where he joined a private practice and served part-time as an attending doctor for Pacific University's vision clinics. In 1997 Dr. Paulson accepted a full-time faculty appointment at Pacific where he taught courses in the optometric curriculum, and served as director of one of the school's vision clinics. Since moving to Pullman in 2001, Dr. Paulson has been an active member of the Optometric Physicians of Washington, the Colfax Rotary Club and is serving as a volunteer member of the Palouse Industries Board of Directors. Dr. Paulson's areas of optometric interest are contact lenses and management of ocular disease.

Dr. Scott, a native of Oregon, graduated from Pacific University College of Optometry in 1994. After completing a residency in vision therapy at State University of New York, she returned to a faculty appointment at Pacific University. While there she taught courses in clinical procedures and served as the Chief of the Pediatric Service for the college vision clinics. She has served as a member of a National Board of Examiners in Optometry. She is an active member of the Pullman Kiwanis Club. Dr. Scott's areas of optometric interest and specialty are pediatrics and vision therapy.

Lougene is knowledgeable about most local insurance plans and can help you understand your vision care benefits. She has received certification as an AOA paraoptometric assistant.

Her previous experience as a medical technician makes her very comfortable working and talking with patients. She will make sure the doctors get all the pertinent information to help address the reason for your eyecare visit.
