About Dr. Scurlock
Dr. Steven M. Scurlock is a native of Portsmouth, Ohio. He attended Ohio State University from 1969-1972, where he earned his B.A. Degree. he then continued his education at Ohio State Dental School from 1973-1976 where he obtained his Doctorate of Dental Surgery. After graduating he served as a Lt. in the United States Navy from 1976-1978. During this time Dr. Scurlock was stationed in Paris Island, SC. Upon returning home to Portsmouth in 1978, he joined private practice with his father, Dr. Richard H. Scurlock.
Dr. Scurlock currently resides in Portsmouth with his wife, Debra Sue Hicks Scurlock, Ph.D.,OTR/L. Debra is the Director/Assistant Professor of the Occupational Therapy Program at Shawnee State University. They have three children Brandon, Bronwyn, and Barrett.
Brandon, attended Miami University where he earned a B.S., then a M.A. at Eastern kentucky University. His wife Janel, who also attended Miami University and earned a B.S., then a M.S. at University of Kentucky. They currently reside in Pinedale, Wyoming with their two year old daughter Lauryn. Brandon works as a Fish and Game Biologist and Janel is a school teacher.
Bronwyn, attended University of South Carolina where she earned her BA in English. She continued her education at Toledo Law School where she obtained her law degree. Her husband, Will attended Ohio State University and earned a BA, and also continued his education at Toledo Law School where he obtained his law degree. Bronwyn and Will currently reside in Denver, Colorado where she practices as Prosecuting Attorney for Denver and Will practices as a defense attorney.
Barrett, attended Miami University where he earned a B.S. Barrett is unmarried and currently lives in Las Vegas, Nevada.
In his spare time Dr. Scurlock loves to hunt, fish and spend time with family and friends.
