Our Programs
Infant/Toddler:
This room incorporates traditional materials as well as Montessori materials that are age appropriate. The teachers in this room follow the child’s own schedule created in conjunction with parents. The focus in this room is gross motor and language development as well as helping children become more independent.
2-3 Room:
This room contains all Montessori Materials, but they are scaled to the ability of the child. There is a lot of focus on Practical Life activities as these help children develop motor coordination, concentration and independence. Teachers in this room also provide children with opportunities for growth of social development.
3-6 Room:
This room contains the materials created by Maria Montessori to help children develop physically, socially and intellectually. In this room children learn to read, write and perform mathematical equations while also learning to care for themselves, each other and the environment.
Supplemental Care:
This room contains traditional child care materials and games for the children. We also have a computer in this room which allows children limited access to activities on-line. The teachers in this room create fun crafts and other activities for the children in this room. When the weather is nice, the children go outside to play on our playground or go on nature walks.
School Age Program:
This program runs in conjunction with our Supplemental Care program. Children can also receive help with their homework at the end of the day. Our School Age Program is available year-round and with bussing to and from Mountain Bay Elementary.
Summer Program:
We continue to utilize the Montessori Classrooms during the summer, but we also include weekly themes and activities to keep our program fun.
